PHOTOS: Strong reviews for Summer Sizzle’s 2019 runway show

Spectators to the Global Glamour Runway Show — an event associated with the BVI’s annual Summer Sizzle — were once again dazzled for three hours by the latest work of top designers from around the world.

“I enjoyed it, I always enjoy Summer Sizzle,” said District Governor Delma Maduro of the Rotary Club following the event at the Multipurpose Sports Complex in Road Town on Saturday.

“I think Terry Donovan (the organizer) did a fabulous job and I think he should be commended for it. It’s so nice to see some of our youngsters, and in fact, one of my great-nieces was one of the models,” Maduro said, beaming with pride.

She continued: “It was a wonderful evening, and I would encourage persons who have never come to Summer Sizzle to do so next year.”

“It was amazing. I enjoyed the swimsuit part the most,” said Charles Watson from Trinidad.

Former Acting Chief Immigration Officer Geraldine Ritter Freeman, who was chosen among the crowd to walk the runway, said: “I am born for the runway, I didn’t feel afraid.”

She also described the event as ‘beautiful’.
