Police investigating stabbing incident near Purcell Basketball Court

A male has reportedly been taken to Dr D. Orlando Smith Hospital, following a stabbing incident in Purcell this morning, August 30, 2022.
The incident reportedly took place in the vicinity of the Purcell basketball court.

Police have confirmed reports of the stabbing.

"Officers of the Criminal Investigation Team are investigating a stabbing incident near the Purcell Basketball Court this morning. As a result, one male is in hospital in stable condition. No further information is available at this time," Police Information Liaison Diane L. Drayton stated.
