Police officer shot on VG - identified as Shawn Williams
The officer was shot in one of his legs whilst in Spring Bay, Virgin Gorda today, Friday, April 17, 2020.
He has been identified as Mr Shawn Willams, who is an armed police officer.
Mr Williams is said to be a patient at Dr D. Orlando Smith Hospital on Tortola.
It is unclear what were the circumstances surrounding the shooting incident; however, sources within the RVIPF have said the matter is being treated as an attempted murder.
