Poultry Facility Completed As Part Of Agri. Project
Government through the Ministry of Education, Culture, Youth Affairs, Fisheries and Agriculture signed leases with two local business owners to support food production in Paraquita Bay in March 2020.
According to the government, KNK Poultry Farm has completed its additional poultry production facility at Paraquita Bay as the Government continues to provide support for sustainable farming in the Virgin Islands.
It was stated that, the poultry operation has doubled the company’s chicken capacity from 20,000 to 40,000 chickens and is providing greater food security for the Virgin Islands.
The completion of this project is said to be progress towards revitalising the Territory’s agriculture sector.
