Powerboat allegedly 'flies' ashore during 'speed test' @ Fat Hogs Bay
The captain of a powerboat miraculously escaped serious injuries when his vessel flew out of the water and ended up several yards ashore during an alleged "speed test" at Fat Hogs Bay, Tortola on Tuesday, August 24, 2021.
According to reports reaching our newsroom, the incident occurred around 4:00 pm.
Eyewitnesses allegedly were left in shock as the powerboat allegedly "aeroplaned" out of the water and skidded several yard inland.
The captain was reportedly thrown out of the vessel during the mishap but only sustained minor injuries.
Police were seen at the scene of the accident conducting investigations.
