Powerboat destroyed by fire in Lower Estate
A powerboat was completely destroyed by fire in the wee hours of Sunday, March 28, 2021, in Lower Estate.
According to reports reaching our news centre, the boat destroyed was a 1992 32ft Marjah boat.
The owner of the vessel has reportedly called for a 'full investigation' into the incident.
Our newsroom was told that the owner of the boat was awakened around 1:00 am to the news that his boat was on fire at Lower Estate.
He reportedly rushed to the location where his worst fears were confirmed.
The vessel was completely destroyed by the time Fire and Rescue Services arrived on the scene.
Both Fire and Rescue Services and the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force are said to be conducting investigations with the aid of CCTV evidence.
