Premier & Dept Premier in London, Hon Vincent O. Wheatley now acting Premier

In the absence of both Premier and Minister of Finance, Dr the Hon Natalio D. Wheatley (R7) and Deputy Premier Hon Lorna G. Smith (AL) OBE, Hon Vincent O. Wheatley (R9) has been appointed Acting Premier and Minister of Finance until May 13, 2023, by acting Governor David D. Archer Jr.

Currently, the Governor John J. Rankin CMG, the Premier Dr the Hon Natalio D. Wheatley, and Deputy Premier Hon Lorna G. Smith OBE are currently in London attending the King Charles III Coronation events, and as such officials in the VI moved to acting capacity also include the current acting Governor, Mr Archer Jr.

Dr the Hon Karl Dawson & Hon Luce D. Hodge-Smith also acting as Minister of Communication and Works & Minister for Education respectively.



Hons Rymer & de Castro also away

In addition, Minister for Education Hon Sharie B. De Castro (AL) along with Hon Kye M. Rymer (R5) are also out of the territory in various capacities.

The Education Minister is attending the World Forum 2023 in London from May 5 to 12, while Hon Rymer is away on personal leave.

As such, Hon Luce D. Hodge-Smith is performing the functions of the Minister for Education, Youth Affairs and Sports with effect from May 5, 2023, to May 12, 2023.

Additionally, Dr the Hon Karl Dawson will perform the functions of the Minister of Communications and Works with effect from May 4, 2023, to May 13, 2023, until the return of Hon Rymer.
