Premier initiates wide community discussion on the impact of COVID-19 on the Tourism industry, opportunities and solutions

There was broad participation and active involvement by a wide cross-section of concerned groups in an important meeting initiated by Premier Andrew Fahie on the COVID-19 crisis.
Taxi-drivers and tour operators operating at the cruise pier, vendors on the Cyril B. Romney Tortola Pier Park and Craft Alive came out in numbers to discuss the impact of the COVID-19 Coronavirus on the Tourism industry, and the challenges it will undoubtedly bring.

Premier Andrew Fahie thanked all who attended for their valuable contributions, and for working day and night to ease the situation by dealing with these challenges, and looking for new opportunities and solutions.

As ever, It's not what happens in a crisis , but how we react to it that matters most.

So far, this government is reacting properly, proportionately and professionally. It is clearly determined to be fully responsive to the world-wide challenges that will impact BVI businesses just as they will everywhere else.
