Princess Anne Reconnects with Sefton Carers Centre: 30-Year Anniversary Marked by Heartfelt Interactions

Princess Anne returned to Merseyside to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Sefton Carers Centre, which she opened in 1994.
The centre supports individuals caring for loved ones or friends.

Carers praised Anne for her genuine care during the visit, as she spoke to each carer directly.

Anne is currently the President of the Carers Trust, formed in 2012 from the merger of The Princess Royal Trust for Carers and Crossroads Care charities.

A representative from Sefton Carers Centre had a meeting with various partners, including carers, volunteers, trustees, and staff, at the centre on South Road.

One carer named Sue shared her experience, expressing her gratitude for being recognized and appreciated for her caregiving role.

Her Royal Highness listened attentively to each person, acknowledging the unique challenges and impact of their work on the lives of their loved ones.

The visit not only recognized the centre's past and present commitments but also inspired renewed dedication to supporting carers in the future.

Sue was deeply moved by the experience, describing it as humbling and inspiring.
