Leslie Lilley, a candidate for the right-wing political party Reform UK, has stated he would 'slaughter' migrants arriving in the UK on small boats.
These comments, made in June 2020 on the
Facebook account Lilley now uses for his election campaign, came in reaction to news of a small boat arriving in Dover.
Lilley, who is running in the Southend East and Rochford constituency for the upcoming British general election, expressed his hostile views towards migrants and their families.
Reform UK, formerly known as the Brexit Party, was founded in 2018 and is led by
Nigel Farage.
Some predictions suggest Lilley could garner up to 20 percent of the vote in his constituency, which is currently held by the Conservative Party and considered a key target for the Labour Party in the July 4 election.
