Rishi Sunak and Akshata Murty’s Wealth Rises to £651 Million
The personal wealth of UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and his wife Akshata Murty has risen by one hundred twenty-two million pounds over the past year, reaching six hundred fifty-one million pounds according to the latest Sunday Times Rich List. This increase is primarily due to Akshata Murty's shares in Infosys, the Indian IT company co-founded by her father. Sunak’s wealth also includes two point two million pounds in income and capital gains reported last year.
The personal wealth of UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and his wife Akshata Murty has risen by £122 million over the past year, reaching a total of £651 million according to the latest Sunday Times Rich List.
This increase is primarily attributed to Akshata Murty's shares in Infosys, the Indian IT company co-founded by her father.
Comparatively, King Charles III's personal wealth has grown by £10 million, standing at £610 million.
Sunak previously featured on the list in 2022 with an estimated wealth of £730 million.
The top 10 richest in the UK include the Hinduja family at £37.2 billion, Sir Leonard Blavatnik at £29.25 billion, and David and Simon Reuben at £24.98 billion.
Sunak’s wealth also includes his earnings as a hedge fund manager and £2.2 million in income and capital gains reported last year.
Despite Downing Street's decline to comment on the Rich List, Sunak emphasizes his focus on public service and promoting livelihoods, such as through the furlough scheme during the pandemic.
