Rishi Sunak Announces UK's Largest Military Aid Package for Ukraine: £500m, 400 Vehicles, and 1,600 Weapons

Rishi Sunak, the UK prime minister, has announced the largest military support package for Ukraine in UK history.
The package includes 400 vehicles, over 1,600 missiles, 4 million rounds of ammunition, 60 boats, and £500 million in funding, bringing the total UK military aid to Ukraine to £3 billion this financial year.

Sunak warned that Russian President Vladimir Putin would not stop at the Polish border if he wins the war in Ukraine.

Sunak will visit Poland on Tuesday to discuss European security and the threat from Russia with Polish leader Donald Tusk and Nato secretary-general Jens Stoltenberg, and later travel to Germany to meet Olaf Scholz.

Rishi Sunak, the UK's Prime Minister, emphasized the importance of supporting Ukraine against Russia's aggression for European security.

He stated that if Putin is successful in his war against Ukraine, he won't stop at the Polish border.

Sunak announced a new package of military aid to help Ukraine defend itself.

The UK has already committed nearly £12bn in support to Ukraine since February 2022, with over £7bn going towards military assistance.

Sunak reaffirmed the UK's commitment to European security and standing by its NATO allies.

The US House of Representatives has approved a $61bn military aid package for Ukraine to combat Russia's invasion, following a lengthy delay within the Republican party.

In response, the UK has announced an additional £500m in funding, which will be used to provide ammunition, air defense, drones, and engineering support to Ukraine.
