Robert Jenrick, the former immigration minister, is under scrutiny over £75,000 in donations to his Conservative leadership campaign originating from a firm that received money via a tax haven.

Businessman Phillip Ullmann revealed himself as the source of the funds, donated through Spott Fitness, part of his family’s business group.

Labour has called for an Electoral Commission investigation, questioning the transparency and legality of the donations.

Ullmann insists on the importance of donor transparency, stating his support for Jenrick and denying any wrongdoing.
