Rotary Club Grand Raffle 2nd place winner receives $5K cheque

The second-place winner of the Rotary Club of Tortola grand Raffle, Mr Organ Baronville was presented his cheque of $5,000k in the 2022 competition, for coming in second even as the first place winner is still to be drawn.

Mr Baronville purchased his ticket at the August Tuesday Horse races at the Ellis Thomas Down and his 2nd place winning entry was pulled at the very event.

$20K draw still to come


Speaking at a simple presentation ceremony held at the BVI Taxi Association stand, the Past President of the Rotary club of Tortola Mr Kenneth Morgan, said that the big draw will take place at the end of this month, "Where the lucky person will walk away with $20,000 cash,"

To ramp up sales of tickets which cost $20 each and $200 per book, Mr Morgan said members of the club will be out at CTL and RiteWay on Saturday, August 13, 2022, from 9:00am.

He said members will also be at events and popular spots during the night and going forward to the final draw day.

Mr Baronville said he intends to share his prize with friends.
