Rotary, One Mart To Stage Vehicle Raffle Draws Today

Rotary, One Mart To Stage Vehicle Raffle Draws Today

The Rotary Club of Central Tortola and One Mart Superstore grand prizes of vehicles in two separate raffles to be drawn today, December 24.
The Rotary drawn is for an All-New 2022 Hyundai Tucson and will take place at Delta Petroleum at about 7 pm tonight, December 24.

The club’s vice-president, Mr. Gordon French, said club members and the wider community are excited about the final draw.

“The perfect Christmas gift of a spanking new 4-wheel drive SUV awaits a very deserving winner. We are pleased with the support from the community thus far for this our first annual car raffle which will allow us to undertake a number of important community projects in the new year in areas of education, health, and youth entrepreneurship,” Mr. French stated.

He expressed gratitude to those who have supported the club since its official charter in January of this year. He further stated that persons can continue to purchase tickets at $10 each right up to the time of the draw.

"For the first time, we launched an online portal to facilitate persons purchasing tickets during this COVID-19 period which has been very successful. However, the portal is now closed and persons can only purchase physical tickets from members of the club who will be at all the major supermarkets throughout the day so you can get tickets while you complete your Christmas shopping," Mr. French stated.

The other draw will take place at One Mart, a supermarket owned by legislator Hon. Mark Vanterpool. That raffle is for two 2022 Hyundai i10 cars at 5 pm

One winner will be from Tortola and the other from the sister islands.

To qualify, shoppers would have to spend $50 or more for a chance to win the brand new car, which is also part of the company’s 35th anniversary.
