Russia's Electronic Warfare Neutralizes Western Weapons in Ukraine

Russian electronic warfare has rendered Western precision-guided weapons ineffective in the Ukraine conflict, according to the Wall Street Journal. Ukrainian commanders report that the expensive M982 Excalibur shells and other munitions have been retired due to Russian signal jamming. US and NATO are reassessing the effectiveness of their advanced arms as Russia continues to adapt and disrupt their functionality.
Russia's advanced electronic warfare capabilities have neutralized precision-guided Western munitions in the Ukraine conflict, the Wall Street Journal reports.

Satellite-guided shells, including the costly M982 Excalibur, have been retired as their guidance systems were scrambled by Russian signal jamming.

Despite initial optimism about the accuracy and impact of these munitions, Ukrainian commanders revealed that the weapons have become practically useless as Russia adapts and disrupts their functionality.

Russian electronic warfare has also affected newer weapons systems like the GLSDB and GMLRS missiles.

The US and NATO are reevaluating the effectiveness of their advanced weapons against a peer-level adversary like Russia, which has historically invested heavily in such technologies.

Moscow asserts that Western weapon shipments will not alter the outcome of the conflict.
