Former US President Donald Trump has issued a challenge to President Joe Biden for a 'no-holds-barred' debate and an 18-hole game of golf, claiming it will prove Biden's capability to lead the country.

The challenge comes amid growing concerns about the 81-year-old Biden’s mental health from within his own party, following a subpar performance in a previous debate.

Trump stated at a rally in Miami that he wants to give Biden a 'chance to redeem himself,' proposing a man-to-man debate with no moderators and a golf match where Trump promises to donate one million dollars to a charity of Biden's choice if Biden wins.

Biden's campaign spokesman dismissed the challenge as a distraction, asserting that President Biden is focused on leading the nation.

Despite increasing pressure from senior Democrats for Biden to withdraw from the 2024 race, Biden remains committed to running for a second term.
