In recent developments, Hamas has rejected a Gaza ceasefire proposal suggested by U.S. President Joe Biden.

The response was delivered to Israel via mediators.

Concurrently, police in California have arrested 25 pro-Palestinian demonstrators at UCLA for disrupting university operations.

Washington has received Hamas' response to a UN-backed Gaza truce proposal and is evaluating it.

Hamas has communicated through mediators in Qatar and Egypt that any agreement must end Israeli aggression, withdraw forces, reconstruct Gaza, and achieve a prisoner swap deal.
