RTW energises local essential workers with Lucozade donations

Roadtown Wholesale (RTW) — the official distributor of Lucozade in the BVI — has donated several cases of the sports and energy drink to the territory’s essential workers.
One hundred cases were delivered across organisations such as the Royal Virgin Islands Police Department, the BVI Fire & Rescue Services, the BVI Health Authority, and Her Majesty’s Prison.

Nonprofit organisations such as the Family Support Network and BVI Red Cross also received donations, which were made as a collaborative effort with Lucozade Caribbean.

RTW — which operates RiteWay Food Market — said the donation is meant to “celebrate the essential workers that kept the country going during the COVID-19 pandemic”.

“We were delighted to donate our stock to the hard-working essential workers of the BVI and our hope is that the delivery will bring a little bit of comfort to our community and key workers,” Marketing Manager of RTW, Dawn Callwood said in a media release on Wednesday.

In the meantime, RTW said it will also be making Lucozade giveaways to consumers for the remainder of the calendar year.
