Rupert Murdoch Set to Wed at Age 92: A Look at His Previous Four Marriages

Media titan Rupert Murdoch, the former head of Fox and News Corp, is preparing to marry for the fifth time.
At 92, he is engaged to 67-year-old Russian molecular biologist Elena Zhukova, with a wedding planned for July at his vineyard estate in California. The couple met through a family connection of Murdoch's former spouse.

This marks Murdoch's fifth marriage and sixth engagement since 1956, producing six children from his prior unions. He had a short-lived engagement to American model and radio presenter Ann Lesley Smith, who was 25 years younger.

A brief on Murdoch's ex-wives are as follows:

1. Patricia Booker: An Australian model and flight attendant, she married Murdoch in 1956, and together they had a daughter, Prudence. They divorced in 1967, and Booker, who passed away in 1998, remarried shortly after.

2. Anna Maria Torv: A journalist who married Murdoch just after his first divorce, their marriage spanned 32 years before ending in 1999. Together, they had three children, Elisabeth, Lachlan (who became the chairman of Fox Corp and News Corp), and James, all of whom have roles in the family's media empire.

3. Wendi Deng: Murdoch married Deng, a Chinese entrepreneur and movie producer, in 1999, shortly after divorcing Torv. They have two daughters, Grace and Chloe, and ended their marriage in 2013.

4. Jerry Hall: Murdoch married the American model and actress in 2016. Hall, who previously had a relationship with Mick Jagger, and Murdoch divorced in 2022 after six years.
