The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) yesterday, July 29, 2021, one of its own, charged suspended Sergeant Troy St Helen of Jennings Hill, for possession of a controlled drug with intent to supply and being concerned in the supply of a controlled drug.

According to a press release from the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) today, July 30, 2021, St Helen was scheduled to appear in the Magistrate’s Court today.

The RVIPF said St Helen, 39, had been interdicted from duty earlier this year following his suspected involvement in the January drug seizure. He will be the third male charged in that operation which resulted in the seizure of over 200 kilos of cocaine.

Shaun Massicott, 28, of East End was also charged with possession of a controlled drug with intent to supply and being concerned with the supply of a controlled drug. Devon Bedford of Harrigan Estate had been previously charged in the matter.

During an operation on January 19 of this year in the Brandywine area, officers of the Force intercepted a rental vehicle. A search of that vehicle uncovered a large quantity of cocaine. A subsequent search of a second vehicle uncovered a smaller quantity of cocaine. A boat was seized as part of that operation.
