Singer Jah Cure arrested in stabbing of promoter in Amsterdam

Renowned reggae artist Jah Cure, whose real name is Siccature Alcock, was reportedly arrested in the Netherlands on the weekend of October 2, 2021, for the alleged stabbing of Nicardo Blake.
According to Bandsintown, Jah Cure was scheduled for an event at the Melkweg venue in Amsterdam when the incident was reported.

The popular venue, Melkweg, is said to house several halls for concerts, events, film screenings, as well as school, student and corporate events and presentations.

It is unclear if Blake’s entertainment company, Roots Vibes, was promoting an event attended by Jah Cure or exactly what led to the alleged incident in Amsterdam between Jah Cure and Blake (also known as ‘Papa’).

Jah Cure, a well-known artist, is said to have recorded a number of singles while serving a sentence in prison in 1999 for rape.

These songs are said to include 'Jamaica', produced by DZ Productions and 'Longing For', produced by Don Corleon.
