Six charged! Police say 112 blocks of cocaine were seized

Four persons have been charged in connection to the loaded gun, drugs, and cash that were seized during a police operation on Sunday, September 27.
In a media release on Wednesday, the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) revealed that the drugs found was 112 blocks of cocaine weighing 124.36 kilos.

The persons implicated have been identified as 26-year-old Hector Gonzalez, 27-year-old Pineda Moises Gonzalez, 26-year-old Franklin Ramirez Garcia, and 32-year-old Jessica Faronas Farinas.

They are all Venezuelans residing at Anderson Estate.

They have been jointly charged with Possession of a Controlled Drug, Possession of a Controlled Drug with Intent to Supply, Keeping a Firearm without a Licence, and Landing in the Territory without Permission from an Immigration Officer.

“They remain in custody pending their appearance at the Magistrate’s Court,” the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) said.

The RVIPF further said another two Venezuelans — 59-year-old Dannys Rodriguez Robles and 55-year-old Emerais Lopez Leiva — were both charged for Overstaying Landing Permit. They too were residing in Anderson Estate and will be arraigned before the Magistrate’s court.

The accused persons were first arrested after police executed a search warrant at several properties in the aforementioned area.
