The Virgin Islands Education System has recently announced the appointment of six new public school principals.
The appointments are part of the Ministry of Education, Youth Affairs and Sports' ongoing efforts to improve the quality of education in the territory.
Deputy Chief Education Officer (CEO) Mrs.
Orlandette Crabbe said in a statement, "At the Ministry of Education, Youth Affairs and Sports, we are pleased to announce the appointment of six new principals." The new principals are Ms. NaTasha Marshall, Bregado Flax Educational Centre Secondary; Ms. Ashkisha Maduro, Ebenezer Thomas Primary School; Ms. Janelle Rhymer, Leonora Delville Primary School; Ms. Magdalene Alister, Eslyn Henley Richiez Learning Centre; Ms. Akima Powell, Robinson O’Neal Memorial Primary School; and Mrs.
Candice Bolondia-Fraites, as assistant principal at the Enis Adams Primary School.

Crabbe added that the appointments are a testament to the Ministry's dedication to reimagining education in
the Virgin Islands.
She encouraged the new appointees to continue to pursue their passion in education, expand their experience, and apply innovative ideas to raise the bar and contribute to the success of education in the territory.
The appointments follow a rigorous selection process, and the Ministry of Education, Youth Affairs and Sports would like to extend thanks to all those who applied for the positions.
The new principals will join the education system as it continues to move full S.T.E.A.M. ahead in providing quality education to the students in
the Virgin Islands.
