Some offices closed as water main breakage affects RT

Information coming into Virgin Islands News Online (VINO) is that a water main breakage in the vicinity of Delta Gas Station in Pasea has disrupted the water supply across the Virgin Islands' capital city, Road Town.
The water supply interruption reportedly started at around 9:00 am this morning, April 28, 2021, and is said to be a major water main that has been damaged.

As a result of the damage, sources say the disruption has resulted in some government and private-sector workers being sent home as Water and Sewerage Department (W&SD) work to rectify the issue.

It is VINO’s understanding that extensive works, including jackhammering, are needed to fix the issues; however, water is expected to return by 3:00 pm.

Our news centre will bring more information as it becomes available.
