Sr Bayside Blazers is 2021 District League Champions

The senior team of the VG Bayside Blazers have been crowned the National Champions in the BVI Basketball Federation’s (BVIBF) 2021 District League finals played on Friday, October 8, 2021.

At around 11:00 pm, the Senior Bayside Blazers representing the Ninth District took the win with 98 points against A’s 76 in a heated match-up which saw the Blazers crushing their opponents in the BVIBF Best of 5 Championship Series.

The win, while long fought, came as no surprise. The Senior team had been playing a stellar game throughout the series, culminating with them handing a stunning defeat to the A’s out of the Fourth District.

Jr teams to fight it out


While Friday’s match-up was expected to determine winners for both the Senior and Jr Division, the Jr Bayside Blazers will have to fight another day after losing to Jr Skillful Ballers and forcing a deciding game.

The Jr Division face off to crown the Jr District League Champions is scheduled for tonight at 8:00 pm at the Multi-Purpose Sports Complex.

Both the Senior and Jr Bayside Blazers are managed by Honorable Julian Willock, and the MVP award for the Senior Division games went to Kimron S. Telemaque of the Bayside Blazers.
