Students in Anegada switch to virtual learning due to COVID-19

Students of Claudia Creque Educational Centre in Anegada will be learning from the comfort of their homes from today, May 18, 2022, due to COVID-19.

The suspension of face-to-face learning was conveyed to the parents of students on May 17, 2022.

The reason given was that positive COVID-19 cases were detected at the school.

Online classes for 1 week in first instance


"Please note that due to positive Covid cases on campus, classes will be held online starting tomorrow Wednesday, 18th May, 2022. Online classes will be for one week in the first instance. A date on which school will be reopened for face-to-face instruction will be forthcoming. Please ensure that students are prepared," a circular stated.

Previously there were no active cases of COVID-19 recorded on Anegada, according to the Territory's Epidemiological Summary reported on May 12, 2022.
