Tarris Hill Associates approved by Cabinet to build social home in Fat Hogs Bay

As the Government of the Virgin Islands continues to try to meet the needs of its people in these challenging times, a new social home is to be constructed in Fat Hogs Bay, Tortola.

Cabinet met virtually on January 26, 2022, and among other things, it ‘reviewed and accepted the Evaluation Report submitted by the Central Tenders Board (CTB) technical evaluation committee, which was approved by the CTB on September 28, 2021, and accepted the CTB’s recommendation to award Tarris Hill Associates Ltd the contract for the construction of a new Social Home in Fat Hog's Bay, Tortola in the amount of one hundred and sixty-five thousand, two hundred and four dollars and fifty-five cents ($165,204.55).

This is according to the Post Meeting Statement of Cabinet published today, March 14, 2022.

Tarris Hill Associated Ltd, according to its Facebook page, is a commercial and residential developer located in Road Town.

14 approved as Belongers


Meanwhile, at that same Cabinet meeting, which was chaired by His Excellency, Governor John J. Rankin, CMG, Cabinet reviewed and approved the grant of Certificates of Belonger Status to fourteen (14) applicants, who have met the legal requirements of Section 16(5a) of the Immigration and Passport Amendment (No. 2) Act, 2019 as fourth-generation Belongers.
