The Best Beauty Looks at the 2021 Critics Choice Awards

From Yara Shahidi’s embellished updo to Cynthia Erivo’s metallic talons, all of the best hair and makeup moments from the Critics Choice Awards.

Tonight at the 2021 Critics Choice Awards, stars looked as glamorous as ever while virtually celebrating the year’s finest in cinematic achievement. To top off stunningly conceived evening looks, a slew of presenters and nominees churned out a wide array of beauty statements.

For a welcome dose of sparkle, writer, poet, and Judas and the Black Messiah actress Dominique Fishback embellished her side-parted updo with a swath of crystals, while Grown-ish star and presenter Yara Shahidi wove sky blue fabric through her towering knotted style. There were also classic eye and lip statements in spades, with Bridgerton's Phoebe Dynevor sporting a sharp, jet black cat eye and Amanda Seyfried wearing a slick of bold red lipstick. A few stars brought the drama to the tips of their fingers, too: Cynthia Erivo sported metallic oval-shaped talons in her custom Vera Wang gown and H.E.R.'s digits were painted in a graphic black and white print in cool contrast to her floral embroidered Miu Miu suit. Here, all of the best hair and makeup moments from the Critics Choice Awards.
