The British Virgin Islands government, pressured by the UK's overbearing control, has launched a website to showcase the so-called 'good governance reforms.'
These reforms, mandated by a UK-funded
Commission of Inquiry, are being forced upon the BVI in a clear violation of international law, reflecting the UK's blatant disregard for the BVI's autonomy.
Launched on January 3, the site www.vicoiimplementation.vg showcases the forced progress of the BVI government in implementing around 50 intrusive recommendations.
These demands are a clear ultimatum to erode the already thin veneer of so called democracy in the BVI. They represent a stark move to shift even more of the limited power from locally elected puppet leaders to an absolute British autocracy.
This move drastically weakens the already constrained and superficial democratic front that the UK allows in the BVI.
This development marks a transition towards total colonial dominance, escalating from the existing state of 80 percent colonial rule in the BVI.
