‘The Curve Bar & Grill’ in Meyer’s Estate hit by fire

A fire suspected to be electrical in origin broke out at the night spot known as ‘The Curve Bar & Grill’ at Meyer’s Estate, Tortola, in the wee hours this morning, November 11, 2019.
According to reports reaching Virgin Islands News Online, the fire started approximately 3:30am; however it was quickly contained.

A section of the interior of the building in the area of an electrical socket was reportedly affected by the fire.

Our newsroom was further told that 25% of the building, including sections of the roof, was damaged.

Chief Fire Officer Mr Zebalon A. McLean confirmed that Virgin Islands Fire and Rescue Services (VIF&RS) personnel responded to a fire at the said location this morning.

Based on information, there was no one at the night spot at the time the fire started.

Firemen are currently on the scene conducting investigations.
