This Week, the Best Dressed Stars Gave Us a Preview of Summer Style

Summer 2021 doesn’t officially start for another week, but celebrities have already begun wearing their seasonal best.

Summer 2021 doesn’t officially start for another week, but celebrities have already begun wearing their seasonal best. The warm weather has given stars an opportunity to provide a preview of the styles set to dominate the next few months. If their effortless outfits are anything to go by, there’s plenty to look forward to.

On Instagram, Gabrielle Union captured the mood when she posted snapshots of herself in Roberta Einer’s Ali dress. Tangerine with hot pink and marigold accents, Einer’s knit mini-dress features crochet cuffs and a subtly sheer bodice. Union accented the candy-colors with a striped Chanel classic flap bag, sandals, and a brand new haircut. Her center-parted bob with flipped-up ends kept things playful and retro from head to toe.

Punchy colors were trending. While promoting Spirit Untamed, Eiza Gonzalez handled the day’s interviews and meetings in a long-sleeved halter number from Proenza Schouler’s spring/summer 2021 collection. Fiery red and subtly sexy, the look showcased a different side of one of New York’s coolest design duos.

Bold dresses weren’t the only garments worthy of attention. In London, Alexa Chung found summer’s perfect suit in Gucci’s rainbow pinstripe blazer and matching flared trousers. Instead of putting a t-shirt or a blouse beneath her colorful separates, Chung went in another direction. Her logo-print underwear set peeked out from beneath her jacket. The daring addition reflected the star’s love of unexpected fashion and made for a fresh interpretation of power dressing.
