Three Immigration detainees recaptured

The Immigration Department has recaptured three of the detainees who escaped from the Immigration detention facility late last week.
The search is still ongoing for the others who remain at large. The three illegal immigrants recaptured were identified Milson Catul, Slovans Semaus and Hermosa Raul.

Last Friday, Milson Catul, Nicholas Mckenson, Slovans Semaus, Jeff Sherry and Jni-Bapitiste of Haiti escaped Immigration custody while Angel Fusil Lugo and Michael Villalobos Moreno of Venezuela escaped on Thursday.

Chief Immigration Officer, Ian Penn thanked the public for its support and for the information provided thus far which resulted in the recapture of three of the escapees.

He urged residents to remain vigilant and continue assisting in the recapture of the escapees who are still at large.

Penn reminded the public that it is an offence to assist or harbour any of the escapees.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of these individuals is asked to contact the Immigration Department at 468-4700, 468-4715 or 468-4754 or the Royal Virgin Island Police Force hotline at 311/911.
