Today, July 3 is last day for first jab of current vaccine stock

Today, July 3, 2021, is the final day to get vaccinated before the current AstraZeneca vaccine stocks expire on July 31, 2021, according to Health Minister Hon Carvin Malone (AL).

“I am appealing to everyone who has not received their first dose to do so before July 3 to ensure that they receive the second dose within a four-week timeframe and are fully vaccinated as per the vaccine manufacturers’ guidelines,” Hon Malone said in COVID-19 update on June 29, 2021.

He said that while persons may have questions about when will be the best time to get vaccinated, including concerns on the lack of choice for vaccine brands, "I am here to say that the best vaccine available is the one that we have in stock!"

In a ZBVI radio broadcast, Hon Malone also revealed that as of yesterday, July 2, 2021, the territory now has 150 active cases of COVID-19 as part of a dramatic spike in cases over the past few days.
