The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) said it is already making some form of progress into the latest homicide to rock the British Virgin Islands that claimed the life of Vincentian, Deverson Williams, 38.
The incident occurred at approximately 3.45 pm in Fish Bay yesterday.
According to the police statement issued today, Wednesday, March 17, “Following the incident, a search warrant was carried out on a property on Tortola which resulted in the seizure of a loaded firearm and ammunition. Two persons were arrested as a result.”
No further information was provided on the arrests, such as the names and the location that the search warrant was executed.
“Police are presently working on several leads however, witnesses into yesterday’s incident or anyone with information are encouraged to contact the Major Crime Team directly at 368-5682 or Inspector Vernon Larocque at 368-9809,” the RVIPF statement noted.
Persons with any information can also contact the RVIPF Intelligence Unit at 368-9339, it added.
The Long Trench resident appeared to have met his end with a ‘high powered weapon’, the police stated.
In addition, nearby vehicles and a building belonging to International Motors also sustained damage during the daring murder.
Williams was also involved in an ongoing court matter relating to harbouring then fugitive, Nyron Erickson.
