Two charged in connection with murder of Yan Edwards

Police investigations into the shooting death of Yan Edwards have resulted in charges against two individuals.
Rowan Arlington Pickering, 60, and Miriam Kimberley May, 34, both from Long Look, have been charged with Perverting the Course of Justice, while May faces an additional charge of providing false information to the police.

Edwards, 42, was fatally shot on February 6 while seated outside a business establishment in Parham Town. Initial investigations suggest that he was the only victim of the shooting.

Police said in a media release today that the charges against Pickering and May stem from their alleged involvement in the murder.

Both individuals were granted bail in the sum of $5,000 and are scheduled to appear before the Magistrate’s Court on 20 April 2023.

In the meantime, Officers of the Major Investigation Team continue to appeal for witnesses who could help to identify the assailant or assailants in Edwards’ murder.
