From robotic surgeries to groundbreaking cardiac procedures, the UAE showcases significant contributions to global healthcare advancements.
In a testament to the growing influence of technology in healthcare, Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City in Abu Dhabi has marked a milestone with 500 robotic surgeries performed over the past four years.

This achievement underscores the global trend of robotic-assisted techniques enhancing precision in surgical outcomes, contributing to the over 12 million procedures conducted worldwide.

Continuing the focus on health, Abu Dhabi has issued a student health advisory urging those with symptoms like high fever or flu-like conditions to stay home, aiming to prevent the spread of contagious diseases in educational environments.

Dubai, meanwhile, attracted thousands of runners for the Dubai Run 2024.

This massive event transformed Sheikh Zayed Road into a vibrant running track, showcasing the city's commitment to promoting fitness for all levels enthusiastically.

In another remarkable community event, Abu Dhabi hosted the Zayed Charity Run with over 12,000 participants gathering to support multiple sclerosis awareness, reflecting a powerful community spirit.

Highlighting cardiovascular health, Emirates Health Services in Dubai launched the 'Your Heart, Your Life' campaign, focusing on screening 10,000 individuals for heart disease to emphasize the significance of early detection.

Sharjah also made headlines as Dr. Mohamed Magdi led a groundbreaking cardiac procedure in Europe with the region's first implantation of a single-chamber wireless pacemaker, underscoring the UAE’s role in pioneering medical advancements.

On the international front, authorities in the Dominican Republic seized 9,500 kilograms of cocaine concealed within a banana shipment – the country's largest drug bust, valued at $250 million, and intended for Europe.
