Deal expected to boost bilateral trade by billions
The United Kingdom and India have signed a historic free trade agreement that significantly reduces tariffs and barriers across multiple sectors, including automotive, technology, and agriculture.
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi hailed the pact as a transformative step in bilateral relations, with Modi also meeting King Charles III during his visit to Norfolk.
The agreement grants 99% duty-free access to Indian goods and includes provisions to benefit professionals, manufacturers, and consumers in both countries.
