Consumers were warned by Which?
that this may come as a shock, as today is the last opportunity to renew at the old prices.
The UK passport is now one of the most expensive in Europe.
Starting from mid-2025, travellers from non-EU countries will be required to pay a €7 (£6) fee and complete the Etias (European Travel Information and Authorisation System) application to enter Europe's passport-free zone.
This system, modeled after the US Esta scheme, is valid for multiple visits over a three-year period for individuals aged between 18 and 70.
