Ukrainian Forces Claims First Strike on Russia's Su-57 Fighter Jet

Ukrainian defense intelligence, GUR, announced their forces struck a Russian Su-57 fighter jet at Akhtubinsk airfield. The jet was hit by a drone and satellite images confirm significant damage. The Su-57 has faced production delays and development issues since its inception.
Ukrainian defense intelligence, GUR, announced that their forces have struck a Russian Su-57 fighter jet for the first time at an air base inside Russia.

The jet was reportedly hit while parked at Akhtubinsk airfield, which is 589 km from the front lines.

Russian military blogger Fighterbomber confirmed the strike was executed by a drone.

Satellite images provided by GUR show the Su-57 intact on June 7th and significantly damaged on June 8th.

The extent of the damage is being assessed.

The Su-57 is a fifth-generation fighter jet that has seen production delays and development issues since its inception.
