Unsettled weather forecasted for remainder of Saturday

The Virgin Islands Department of Disaster Management (DDM) is forecasting that the weather today will be one of lingering instability and moisture associated with a low-level trough.
Due to this, unsettled weather conditions is being forecasted for the territory today; however, a gradual decrease in shower activity is expected by tonight.

The DDM says for the daytime, persons can expect mostly cloudy conditions with showers and a 30 per cent or low chance of thunderstorms and the forecast becoming occasionally cloudy with a 60 per cent or a moderate chance of showers by tonight.

Winds will be east at 11 to 22 km/h or 6 to 12 knots, with lighter spells possible in some areas.

The sea is not expected to exceeding 1.5 metres or 5 feet.
