UPDATE: Minor taken into custody following fatal stabbing on VG

BVI News understands that a minor has been taken into custody concerning the fatal stabbing of a man on Virgin Gorda on Saturday, December 3.
Highly-placed sources told our news centre that this person of interest is a teenage boy no older than 16 years old.

Our news centre was told that the teen and the stab victim are related. It is alleged that the two got into an altercation Saturday evening when things escalated. The teen allegedly used an unspecified weapon to inflict multiple wounds on his relative.

The stab victim was then taken to the medical centre on Virgin Gorda where he succumbed to his injuries. Police confirmed the fatal stabbing incident to our news centre last night and said investigations are ongoing.

Reports are that the minor has been charged but the exact nature of the charge or charges is not immediately clear to our news centre.

While BVI News has learnt the identities of both parties, their identities will not be published at this time as the matter involves a minor.
