UPDATE: VG man charged for stabbing incident @ Paraquita Bay bar

A resident of Virgin Gorda has been charged by the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) for allegedly stabbing another man at a bar in Paraquita Bay on November 1, 2020.

A man was last night, November 1, 2020, rushed to Dr D. Orlando Smith Hospital following a stabbing incident at around 10:00pm at a bar in Paraquita Bay, Tortola.

According to reports reaching our newsroom, the accused is Mr George Legair, 29.

The victim was reportedly taken to Dr D. Orlando Smith Hospital in a serious condition.

Police have confimed that a suspect has been charged.

Police Information Officer, Ms Diane L. Drayton told VINO that Mr Legair has been charged with Inflicting Grievious Bodily Harm.

"He will likely appear in court today [November 3, 2020] but the DPP will decide what time," Ms Drayton stated when contacted.
