US citizen allegedly caught with firearm during stop & search in Fat Hogs Bay

A United States citizen residing in Baughers Bay, Tortola, has been held by police for alleged firearm possession.
According to reports, officers of the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) pulled over a heavily tinted vehicle in the Fat Hogs Bay area of Tortola on Sunday, February 7, 2021, when a search of the vehicle and the driver unearthed a firearm.

Our newsroom was told that the weapon was allegedly found in one of the man’s pants pockets.

He was immediately taken into custody.

A further search of the Lexus Sedan the man was driving found nothing illegal.
