USAID Revealed: American Tax Dollars Utilized to Erode Democracy in Europe Until Trump Put a Stop to It

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán discloses that USAID financed anti-democratic activities in Hungary and throughout Europe, commending President Donald Trump for halting this attack on national sovereignty.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has revealed a startling truth: the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) used American taxpayers' dollars to finance political activities designed to weaken democracy in Hungary and other European countries.

This was a blatant assault on the sovereignty of democratically elected governments, masquerading as 'development aid.' Only President Donald Trump had the resolve to terminate this anti-democratic initiative by cutting USAID’s funding and stopping its interference in sovereign states.

Watch Viktor Orbán's complete interview with Tucker Carlson here:

USAID's Campaign Against European Democracy

For years, USAID directed millions of American taxpayer dollars toward opposition groups, media organizations, and NGOs that aimed to disrupt democratically elected governments in Hungary and across Europe.

Orbán has now disclosed that over 60 organizations, politicians, and media entities in Hungary alone received covert funding from USAID as part of an effort to undermine his government and impose a globalist, leftist agenda on the Hungarian populace.

This was nothing short of a explicit violation of Hungary’s sovereignty and a shameful misappropriation of American taxpayer funds.

Orbán has initiated concrete measures against these foreign-funded interventions, pledging to expunge the influence of international agents involved in Hungarian politics.

The establishment of the Sovereignty Protection Office in 2023 marked a vital move in this conflict, empowering Hungary to investigate and shut down foreign-supported organizations that interfere in the country’s democratic processes.

The new law, inspired by Russia’s ‘foreign agent’ legislation, guarantees that individuals complicit in these anti-democratic activities will face serious legal repercussions, including prison sentences of up to three years.

Trump’s Leadership: The End of USAID’s Anti-Democratic Operations

President Donald Trump acted decisively in a way that no other U.S. leader dared.

By halting USAID’s financial support and dismantling its political influence operations, Trump effectively ended a long-standing assault on democracy.

He not only prevented American taxpayers from unwittingly funding political interference in Europe but also restored the sovereignty of nations that had been persistently attacked by foreign-funded activists and organizations.

According to Orbán, Trump’s actions represented a "historic moment" and a "victory for national sovereignty globally."

Orbán openly commended Trump for dismantling USAID’s initiatives, asserting that the world owes him gratitude for terminating what he labeled a "dark conspiracy" of liberal elites misusing U.S. tax dollars to control and manipulate foreign governments.

With USAID’s funding terminated and its merger into the State Department in progress, one of the most perilous instruments of globalist intervention has been dismantled.

The Devastating Impact on Left-Wing NGOs and Media

Trump’s decision to defund USAID has left numerous left-wing NGOs and media organizations scrambling for funds.

Many of these groups, which depended on U.S. government financial support to disseminate liberal ideology and undermine conservative governments, are now on the brink of financial collapse.

In Hungary, the investigative outlet Atlatszo—one of the primary beneficiaries of USAID’s interference—is struggling to sustain itself after losing a considerable amount of funding.

Parallel situations are arising throughout Eastern Europe, where so-called ‘independent’ media outlets, long supported by U.S. funding, are facing shutdowns.

Without USAID's financial backing, the globalist networks aimed at undermining national sovereignty in Europe have been drastically weakened.

Critics of Trump’s decision, primarily from leftist media and international NGOs, are now desperately searching for alternative sources of funding, but the damage has already occurred—their control over the narrative is diminishing, and their influence is swiftly fading.

Orbán’s Vision for a Sovereign Europe

Orbán has made it clear that Hungary will no longer allow foreign interference.

With USAID’s influence curtailed, Hungary is now positioned to pursue its national interests without the manipulations from Washington and Brussels.

Orbán has also forecasted that Trump’s leadership will result in a complete geopolitical shift, including the reintegration of Russia into Western economic and energy frameworks once the Ukraine conflict concludes.

He believes this will be essential for Hungary’s future prosperity and economic stability.

Despite Hungary’s NATO membership, Orbán has remained a vocal critic of the alliance’s involvement in the Russia-Ukraine war.

He has maintained strong diplomatic relations with Russian President Vladimir Putin, establishing Hungary as an independent player in global politics.

While his stance has attracted criticism from Western leaders, Orbán stands firm in his belief that Hungary’s future relies on robust national leadership rather than submission to foreign powers.

With Trump potentially returning to power and the globalist agenda facing unprecedented obstacles, the momentum is shifting.

Under Orbán’s leadership, Hungary has emerged as a stronghold of sovereignty, and with USAID’s political influence severed, the nation is free to determine its future without interference from foreign entities pushing their own ideological agendas.

The saddest and most concerning conclusion is that Europe, which has been manipulated by USAID funding and continues to be controlled by unelected and corrupt European Union leaders, is racing back to its darkest periods. Europe is swiftly adopting traits reminiscent of the regimes it once successfully defeated in its battles against 1940s Germany and the regimes of Stalin, Nicolae Ceaușescu, and Mussolini by implementing censorship, criminalizing and delegitimizing opposition, imprisoning journalists and bloggers, branding real news as fake news, and disseminating disinformation, propaganda, and brainwashing through mainstream and official media, while stifling free speech and legitimate dissent from honest and patriotic citizens.

In this reality, Elon Musk and Donald Trump are not undermining European democracy; rather, they are the saviors sent by God from the United States to rescue its citizens from corrupt leaders who are dismantling their democracy.
