USVI native remanded on drug possession & proceeds of criminal conduct charges

A native of the US Virgin Islands (USVI) was recently arrested and charged by the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) for alleged drug offences.

According to the RVIPF’s Arrest Blotter for March 6-19, 2022, police on March 6, 2022, arrested and charged Keon Smith, 37, a native of the USVI for having Proceeds of Criminal Conduct and Unlawful Possession of Controlled Drug.

Smith was placed on remand.

Driving without a licence

*  On 08-03-2022 at 19:55hrs, Police arrested and charged Kenrick Perra Thomas, 24, a native of Dominican Republic residing in Cox Health for Reckless Driving, Driving without a Driver's license, Driving Unlicensed Vehicle and Driving Uninsured Vehicle and Failing to Stop at Stop Light. He was granted bail to appear before Magistrate’s Court on 28-04-2022.

*  On 14-03-2022 at 02:00hrs,Police arrested and charged Samuel Harris for Driving without a Driver’s License, Failing to stop at the Sound of a Siren and Using a Motor Vehicle when not Covered by Insurance. He was granted bailed in his own recognizance in the sum of $2,000 to appear before the Magistrate’s Court on 05-05-2022.

Assault occasioning actual bodily harm

*  On 10-03-2022 at 1515hrs, Police arrested and charged Chevon Russell, 42, of The Valley, Virgin Gorda for Assault Occasioning Actual Bodily Harm and Destroying Property. He was granted bail in the sum of $5,000 signed by one surety to appear before Magistrate’s Court, on 27-04-2022.

*  On 11-03-2022 at 1324hrs, Police arrested and charged Davante Maduro, 29, of Purcell Estate for Assault Occasioning Actual Bodily Harm and Theft. He was granted bail in the sum of $10,000 with one surety to appear before Magistrate’s Court on 28-01-2022.

*  On 18-03-2022 at 1825hrs, Police arrested and charged Shagari Smith, 39, for Assault Occasioning Actual Bodily Harm. He was granted bail in the sum of $5,000 to appear before Magistrate’s Court on 05-05-2022.

*  On 16-03-2022 at 2022hrs Police arrested and charged Bruce Lee Winchester, 45, of Brewers Bay for Assault Occasioning Actual Bodily Harm. He was granted bail in the sum of $5,000 signed surety to appear before Magistrate’s Court on 27-04-2022.

Criminal Damage

On 11-03-2022 at 2255hrs, Police arrested and charged Anthony McDonald, 52, of Sea Cow's Bay for Criminal Damage. He was granted bail in the sum of $5,000 signed by one surety to appear before Magistrate’s Court on 28-04-2022.

Criminal Trespass

On 15-03-2022 at 1202hrs, Police arrested and charged Maritha Keil, 64, of Hodges Creek for Criminal Trespass. She was granted bail in her own recognizance in the sum of $2,000 to appear before the Magistrate Court on 05-05-2022.

Wounding

On 18-03-2022 at 0800hrs, Police arrested and charged Bodean Samuel, 29, of Lambert Estate for two counts of Wounding with Intent, Armed with An Offensive Weapon, Criminal Damage, Criminal Trespass, Threatening Language, Disorderly Conduct and Common Assault.

RESISTING ARREST

On 18-03-2022 at 1138hrs, Police arrested and charged a 17-year-old male of Long Bush for Resisting Arrest, Assault with Intent to Prevent Lawful Apprehension, and Assault on a Police. He was granted bail in the sum of $5,000 signed by a surety to appear before Magistrate’s Court on 21-04-2022.

Indecent Assault

On 18-03-2022 at 1620hrs, Police arrested and charged Don Juan Brewley, 51, for Indecent Assault.
