VG police nab armed robbers following high speed chase; 4 in custody
Four persons who allegedly robbed a woman of a significant amount of cash on Lee Road, Virgin Gorda, last night, October 15, 2020, are now in police custody.
According to reports, the armed robbery took place around 8:00pm. Cash and other items were taken from the woman.
Ranks of the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) were; however, quick to respond and proceeded on a high-speed chase of the robbers all the way to North Sound.
It is alleged the robbers abandoned their getaway vehicle and proceeded to make a run for it but were caught by the lawmen.
According to reports, some of the items taken from the woman were recovered.
