VG shooting victims allege unknown person opened fire on them

The two men who were shot sometime after 12 noon yesterday, Sunday, November 29, 2020, have allegedly told police they were fired upon by an unknown person while at Spring Bay on Virgin Gorda.

According to our senior sources within the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF), one of the men was shot in the palm of his left hand while the other was wounded in the left leg.

Their injuries are not life-threatening, according to sources.

Persons close to one of the victims; however, said they are still pondering the explanations given by the two young men.


Virgin Gorda Police Station. Information just reaching Virgin Islands News Online (VINO) is that there has been a shooting on Virgin Gorda and at least 2 persons have been injured as a result.


According to reports, the men alleged they were at Spring Bay awaiting some other friends when someone unknown came out of "nowhere" and fired a number of shots at them.

Meanwhile, police were reportedly unable to recover any spent shells on the scene of the shooting.
