VG Stabbing: 16-year-old charged with manslaughter

One minor has been charged with Manslaughter in relation to the fatal stabbing incident in Virgin Gorda on December 3, 2022.

The 16-year-old male, represented by Attorney Michael Maduro, appeared before the Magistrate’s Court and was granted bail in the amount of $70,000 with one surety.

Police said the minor will return to court in January 2023.

According to reports reaching our newsroom, 23-year-old Nayib Clarke was stabbed several times in the region of his chest and other parts of his body during an altercation with the teenager.

The injured man later succumbed at Nurse Iris O'Neal Medical Facility.
