A delegation from the Virgin Islands is currently in Miami attending the Sea Trade Cruise Global, which opened its doors on September 27, 2021.

Premier and Minister of Finance Hon Andrew A. Fahie (RI), in a September 28, 2021, update said he held a pre-conference briefing on the ground in Miami with the Virgin Islands delegation.

“The delegation aims to restore the return of cruise business to the C.B. Romney Tortola Pier Park since the last Covid-19 spike in the Virgin Islands,” he said.

The four-day conference explores the latest trends with industry influencers and high-level cruise executives and includes the annual State of the Global Cruise Industry Keynote with the chief executives of the world’s largest cruise organisations.

Premier Fahie said members of the delegation are scheduled to meet with several cruise executives and cruise lines in the coming days to discuss requirements for ships to call to the Virgin Islands.
